Why low-carb and low-fat? Many diets recommend either cutting out carbs or cutting out fats. The problem with either of these approaches is that your body needs both carbs and fats in order to be healthy.

The solution? Alternate between eating low-carb meals and low-fat whole-grain (or ‘slow-carb’) meals, and cut out the sugary stuff altogether. (For more information see How this eating plan works.)
