Sugar free hot chocolate is a comforting low carb drink for a hot day.

  • 1 tablespoon cocoa
  • 1 tablespoon Splenda® (or any substitute for 1 tablespoon of sugar)
  • teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 square (2g) chocolate (70% - 90% cocoa)
  • teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 tablespoons heavy cream (or milk)


  1. Add cocoa, Splenda, cinnamon, and chocolate square if using to the bottom of a coffee mug.

  2. Add boiling water until the cup is about ¾ full.
  3. Stir mixture well, making sure that everything is incorporated and the chocolate square, if using, has melted.

  4. Add vanilla and heavy cream and stir.
